For Mom's 50th birthday Mom, Dad, Barb, Andy, Satcha and I went to Paris.
Satcha and I stayed at Tirma and Raul's house and Mom, Dad, Barb and Andy stayed in a hotel.
Our flight from Bilbao had arrived earlier than theirs, so we went to Tirma's 
house and waited for them.
When they arrived and checked in to the hotel we took the subway there to meet up with them. Before going out sightseeing we exchanged Christmas presents in the hotel room since we were not been able to get together for Christmas 2006. After exchanging presents we walked around Paris the whole afternoon. Tirma and Raul took us to a really good fondue restaurant in the Latin Quarter.
On Saturday, January 20 we celebrated Mom's 50th birthday. We all met at Tirma and Raul's house where we started the celebration. We had snacks and cake and gave Mom presents. I made a video collage of pictures from the 50 years of her life, so we watched that. We then went to the top of the Eiffel Tower and to walk around Paris more. We went out for dinner that night to a really nice French restaurant to celebrate Mom's birthday. I tried escargot for the first time…it was yummy!!!
The next day we walked around Paris more until Satcha and I had to leave to catch our flight.
It was a really fun weekend. We did a lot of sightseeing (and Starbucks drinking!!!). I'm glad we got to spend that time together in Paris!!!!
