My Mom had to go to Milan for a business trip, so we decided that we would meet there for the weekend.What a fun "Girls Weekend in Milan"!!!!
We did the typical sightseeing:
- Walking around the city – looking at the designer clothes stores
- Piazza Duomo and Duomo Cathedral
- Leonardo Da Vincci’s Last Supper
- Sightseeing tour
We also went out to dinner one night to a really fancy restaurant. The waiters were really nice to us. We ordered a menu that was 5 course meal accompanied by a different wine for each plate. It was delicious!!!! Then after dinner Mom ordered a grappa and the waiters offered us a variety of different grappas to try. They told us they were really good quality. So, we tasted them. The first ones were good but the last one was so strong that we couldn’t finish. It tasted like pure alcohol. We didn’t want to insult them after they were so nice to us during the dinner, so when they weren’t around we dumped the grappa in the plants (who knows if that plant is still living)!!!!!!
The best part of this trip was being able to be with Mom in Italy, talking and having a lot of laughs!!!!
